The model 62457-7000 monitor arm is the mainstay of the Uplifting 7000 series product family. As with other family members, it is robust and adaptable, combining a small desktop foot-print with excellent ergonomic utility.
Due to its wide range of movement and overall ergonomic versatility, the model 7000 is a very popular choice for agile workplaces: over 50,000 units are currently in use in Australia.
The integrated gas cylinder within the monitor arm housing allows users to very precisely move the monitor as needed. The 7000 series monitor arm rotates at three joints, offering a high range of adjustability. Once the monitor is moved, it is very steady. Further fine tuning adjustments – up/down, high/low, in/out – can easily be made, without the need for tools. The monitor can be tilted up to 200 degrees, and users can easily pivot the screen from landscape to portrait. Integrated cable management keeps desktops free from clutter.
The model 7000 series monitor arm extends outwards to 61cm, with a vertical range of 46cm. When not in use, it can fold away to just 9cm depth, maximising usable desktop space. The high cup mount can be configured for desk edge, thru-desk, grommet hole or side bolt installation, as standard.
A popular option for the 62457-7000 is to fit a laptop tray, which is fixed to the existing VESA bracket supplied with the monitor arm. A tray can easily be retro-fitted as required. Various height and length extenders may also be added. All of which makes the 7000 a very versatile monitor arm, able to suit a variety of functions.
The 7000 series is manufactured in the USA from machined aluminium by Innovative Workspaces Inc., the world’s largest dedicated manufacturer of monitor arms, and incorporates many years of incremental production improvements based on customer feedback.
The arm is AFRDI rated for multiple person 24/7 use, the highest independent Australian rating for monitor arms.
The Benefits of Monitor Arms in an Agile Workspace
The business world is transforming towards increasing agile workspaces. Agile workspaces are essentially the practice of using the workspace more efficiently: incorporating practices to allow more flexible and adaptable work. This leads to a more productive, efficient and collaborative workspace. An agile workspace is more than a ‘place’. It allows increased productivity and wellness, thereby positively influencing work quality.
Monitor arms are a key factor in the agile workplace. Monitor arms allow for excellent ergonomic versatility. From increasing posture, reducing neck and eye strain, to being extremely flexible and precise; monitor arms are an essential aspect when creating and working in an agile workspace.
Getting monitors into precisely the right position can be tricky where the design and range of adjustment does not allow for tight spaces. Brackets and components can sometimes intrude onto a wall or partition, or across the desk-space of other computer users, forcing monitor adjustment to be compromised. The clever design of rotation stop overcomes these issues, as it can fold back to a very compact area without the monitor arms themselves intruding into other spaces. The 7000 series, with rotation stop, allows the monitor screens to hover in the desired positions above the work surface? without cramping anyone’s style.
